Job Title:

Regional L&D Leader – MET Region

Job Description

Co-ordination and execution of all front-line supervisor (Team Leader) and Manager level development within the region, including:

· Implementation of globally consistent leadership academies, ensuring successful cascade and adoption.

· Identification of additional local development needs actioned with appropriate, timely and effective solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leads a team to effectively partner, lead and facilitate learning programs using creative training and adult/accelerated learning techniques for live and virtual classroom training
  • Drives the definition, implementation and assessment of Learning and Leadership Development initiatives; leads large scale global projects
  • Assesses learning program effectiveness, ROI and impact with a continuous improvement mindset; quickly solutions, innovates and pivots to achieve success
  • Effectively manage the L&D team by forecasting, scheduling, balancing workload, assigning team goals, supervising performance, and ensuring results.
  • Provide coaching and career development guidance to team members to ensure professional development.   
  • Responsible for on-going classroom observations of learners and direct reports, providing guidance, mentoring, and support that focuses on performance improvement.       
  • Ensures operational excellence, while promoting a high performing, diverse and inclusive work culture
  • Maintains strong partnerships with business leaders to understand localised needs, adapting with speed and agility to implement
  • Leads the creation of a learning community to ensure alignment of best practice and strategy throughout all learning experiences

Criteria:

Experience in Leadership Development:

  • Proven experience in implementing leadership development programs or initiatives.
  • Familiarity with training frameworks, methodologies and adult learning practices.

Project Management Skills:

  • Strong project management abilities to lead large-scale initiatives across multiple regions.
  • Proficient in identifying local development needs and crafting timely solutions.
  • Experience leading a team at mid to senior level

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Confidence in interacting with senior leaders, maintaining strong relationships with business and PS leaders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, ensuring alignment of training goals with organizational objectives.

Cultural Awareness:

  • Experience working across diverse countries and cultures to ensure inclusivity in leadership development.
  • Sensitivity to regional differences in leadership styles and learning preferences.

Facilitation Skills:

  • Capability to actively facilitate leadership development workshops and programs.
  • Ability to engage participants and foster a collaborative learning environment.

Analytical and Strategic Thinking:

  • Proficient in assessing the effectiveness of training programs and making data-driven decisions for improvements.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align training initiatives to business goals.

Educational Background:

  • Certifications / qualifications in training, leadership development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, will be advantageous.
